Symptoms
When attempting to save the performance measure, the system tries to compile the formula.
It shows Valid for Calculation = No.
Reason was "The application could not generate the PL/SQL package for the formula. Contact your system administrator. (CN-1575389)."
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Navigation: Compensation Plans > Create Performance Measure
Create Performance Measure "My PM Test 1"
Start Date = 9/25/11
To Date = 12/24/11
Performance Interval = Quarter
Unit of Measure = Percent
Credit Category = My CC 1
Measure Formula
Process Transactions = Grouped by Interval
Expression Name = "My Sum Exp 1" which is "SUM (Credit.Credit Amount / Measure.Target)"
Scorecard - no rate table but number of dimensions = 1
