Why is the error "Unable to display the form required to view this message. " displayed when attempting to create an Opportunity, Customer, Lead etc?

On : NA version, Synchronization

When attempting to to create a new Opportunity, Customer, Lead etc in Outlook, the form does not appear. Instead the following error occurs

Unknown error 0x80040119 (Impossible d'afficher le formulaire nécessaire pour visualiser ce message. Contactez votre administrateur.)

"Unable to display the form required to view this message. Contact your administrator."

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Complete first sync,
2. Try creating Opportunity, Customer, lead etc.

The issue has the following business impact
Due to this issue, users cannot create new leads, opportunities, customers etc
