Symptoms

 

Users are not able to login using Fusion CRM Outlook to their POD without installing a client certificate, although beginning with REL 5 Patch Bundle 11, Fusion CRM for Microsoft Outlook no longer requires a security certificate to be installed in the client station because there is an option to use server certificate.

ERROR

Failed to login using given user info.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
User should be able to login using CRM For Outlook client application.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Fusion CRM Outlook without installing client certificate
2. Uncheck Use Server Certificate in the Fusion CRM Outlook Login screen

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, user cannot login to Fusion CRM Outlook without installing client certificate although beginning with REL 5 Patch Bundle 11, Fusion CRM for Microsoft Outlook no longer requires a security certificate to be installed in the client station because there is an option to use server certificate.
