Sales Cloud Mobile Application experiencing keyboard issues on iPhone / iPad (Doc ID 1598289.1)

Symptoms

Occurs when using 11.1.7.0.3(or lower) of Oracle Sales Cloud Mobile on iPhone or iPad

When attempting to perform a search of a Customer or logging an Interaction, upon selecting a search field or any Description field which brings up the QWERTY keyboard,  the user experiences either a lag of the characters selected, or the keyboard immediately disappears from the iPhone UI.
