Fusion Global HR: Auto Approval Fails With BPEL Error When Attempting To Do An Employment Record Correction (Doc ID 1606846.1)

Symptoms

Auto-approval is failing when using correct action on employee record and then filling in location and clicking review.

1)Go to Manage Person task
2)Manage Employment
3)Edit>Correct
4)Enter location
5)Click Review

BPEL error is thrown :

"Error occurred while displaying History tree table. Error in evaluating routing slip. Check the underlying exception and correct the error in the routing slip.". The error notification displays the following error message for HCMEmploymentManageComposite: "FAULT_NAME=operationErroredFault::FAULT_TEXT=com.oracle.bpel.client.BPELFault: faultName: {{http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/workflow/taskService}operationErroredFault} messageType: {{http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/workflow/taskService}workflowErrorMessage} parts: {{ payload=getNewAssignmentByTransactionId} cause: {null}"


Workaround
Use Edit >Update instead of correct and no error is thrown and record can be submitted.
