Calculate Leave Accrual Not Considering Employment Changes To An EE Record During The Year
The requirement is for an Accrual absence type to front-load all days at
the beginning of an year, and to recalculate the days whenever EE changes
from full-time to part-time and vice-versa.
Example: On 1-jan-2014, FT EEs accrue 20 days per year. PT EEs accrue 10 days per year (assuming 0.5 FTE).
This is configurable and can be handled in fast formula (FF).
But when FT EE changes to PT on say 1-July-2014, the 20 days that have
been accrued at the beginning of year should be recalculated to 15 days considering that:
- EE was FT for 6 months: So accrual for half-year FT = 20/2 = 10 days
- EE is PT for rest of the 6 months of year:
So accrual for half-year PT = 10/2 = 5 days
- So accrual for full year = 10 + 5 = 15 days.
