Last updated on OCTOBER 13, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion General Ledger Cloud Service - Version 11.1.7.0.0 and later
Oracle Fusion General Ledger - Version 11.1.7.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

User wants to create context Sensitive descriptive flexfield (DFF) for the Journal Line.

For example there are four natural account values

1) 10000 = Human resource
2) 20000 = Account Receivables
3) 30000 = Accounts Payable
4) 40000 = Other expenses

A value set will be created for each:
HR_Value_Set = for Employee id
AR_Value_Set = For Customer
AP_Value_Set = for Supplier

These value sets will be attached to the DFF.

If the natural account 10000 is in the journal line, the DFF should allow user to enter/select only 'Employee id'. If the natural account is 20000 in the
journal line the DFF should allow to enter/select only Customer and so on.
