Fusion PIM: Item Import Fails With Errors When Importing Master & Child Organization Items In The Same Batch (Doc ID 1639961.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to import Item data, following errors occurs:

ITEM_XX(V1) :
    ITEM_XX, ORGANIZATION_ID - The value of the attribute organization is invalid.

 

ERROR

The program Item Import Child failed because of an internal error.

Part of the batch has already processed successfully and items imported successfully in organization V1.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. 3 x Orgs exist - Master 'V1' child 'M1' 'M2'
2. Use import workbench to bring in data
3. Get one of the above errors
