Fusion Goal Management: Enhancement Request Regarding the "Copy Goals" Process

Many employees are incorrectly copying goals from 2013 to 2014 performance year. The correct way to do this is to use the “copy” functionality and then add appropriate details, dates, check the 2014 goal plan, etc.

This is causing a lot of frustration for end users and a lot of time for HR to consult with employees and to try to help them fix.

 However what a lot of employees are doing is:

1) Open an existing 2013 goal.

2) Check the “2014 goal plan” box. Change the dates to 2014 dates.

3) Complete the goal – they think they are closing the 2013 goal now that the goal has been “copied” to 2014.

The goal is now in two different goal plans. The dates and other details about the goal are may have been inadvertently edited. The goal can no longer be edited because it is marked as complete. This results in a call to our HR Service Center for help. This circumstance is very complicated to fix because we can’t “un-complete” the goal. To truly fix, we need to delete the goal and recreate properly. This likely occurs when the goal is in an open performance review and has ratings/comments attached.

The customer is requesting functionality to make it easier for employees to correctly copy goals and if mistakes are made when copying goals, it needs to be easier to help employees correct mistakes.
