Symptoms

On : 11.1.8.0.0 version, Manage Product/Service Data-Manage Specifications

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When the item lifecycle phase is changed, there is a need to assign a value to the item status.

The rule is created but it is not working. The assignment message 'Information for Item' is displayed, but the actual value of the status has not been changed.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
With the popup window displaying rules message on execution stating 'Item Status has been assigned' expectation is this should reach database.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create new Item Rule for after a change to lifecycle phase.
2. Aim is to use inbound value in 'Then' expression of lifecycle 'Production' to become status 'Active' or lifecycle 'Obsolete' to trigger status 'Obsolete'
3. Although popup occurs with 'Item Status has been assigned' message, it is not replicated to database.

Due to this issue, users cannot use rules to amend the status based on lifecycle definitions.
