Symptoms
PROBLEM STATEMENT
When the manager tries to use the wild card in a competency search (to add a competency to a performance evaluation), the system has an inconsistent behaviour.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Navigator> Performance Management
Scenario
A line manager is trying to add a competency to a performance evaluation
SCENARIO 1 (WORKS FINE)
1/ Click on Add
2/ Enter ‘Till’ and click Search. The search correctly displays 2 competencies with a name start with ‘Till’
SCENARIO 2 (DOES NOT WORK)
1/ Click on Add
2/ Instead of entering ‘Till’, enter ‘%Till’ to run a broader search (we have ‘Till’ like competencies not starting with ‘Till’ in our configuration)
IE9:
Results if users use Internet Explorer 9: as soon as users hit the search button, the page refresh and users lose the Add Competency pop-up (no competency has been found or added to the document)
Chrome
Results if users use Chrome: as soon as users hit the search button, users get the error message below:
