Territory Assignment On Account Is Not Working (Doc ID 1961737.1)

On : version, Sales Account Assignment is not working

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Validate Geography Structure
1. Login to applications
2. goto Navigator > Tools > Setup and Maintenance
3. click: All Tasks tab
4. search for Task Name: Manage Geographies
5. Click: 'Go to Task' icon
6. search if IN - India has been defined correctly
(Note : No Structure Defined or Validation Defined)
7. click on Done
8. now search for task = Manage Territory Geographies
9. click: 'Go to Task' icon
10. View All Hierarchies
11. No zone defined, only geography used
12. verify if IN zone exists in the hierarchy and only Once, no duplicates

Once this is corrected, performed the following :

1. in the applications, go to Navigator > Tools > Scheduled Processes
2. click on Schedule New Process
3. Search and Submit the below process
search for Job = Validate Geographies Against Master Geographies / Validate Geographies of Addresses against Master Geography
with following parameters
argument1 Location Table Name = HZ_LOCATIONS
argument2 Run Type = ALL
argument3 Usage Code = GEOGRAPHY
4. there will be confirmation message
Request xxxxx submitted successfully.
5. click on Close for the Process popup
6. make sure it completes successfully

Enable Dimensions and Metrics
1. in the applications, go to Navigator > Sales > Territories and Quotas
2. go to Enable Dimensions and Metrics
3. Edit
4. ensure all needed dimensions are enabled (if not enabled yet)
5. Save and Run Load
6. once it completes successfully, run Activate
7.ensure this too gets completed successfully

Verify Profile Option is Set properly

Setup and Maintenance > All Task > Manage Customer Center Profile Options >

And confirm if Profile Level = Site and Profile Value = Yes for both of them

But the sales account assignment is not happening

IMP Note:

- Customer defined the Structure only for US and Canada country. For other countries the hierarchy structure is not defined. But the country was added into Territory Proposal.
- This issue has been come to notice after upgrade to Rel9. However user not sure if it stopped working immediately after upgrade or after some time.
