Symptoms

Fusion 11.1.7 Cloud post upgrade - OTBI attempt to create a Prompt in OBIEE Answers causes screen to freeze/no response/hang
(happens in test and prod)

Issue happens to several users

Unexpected Behavior
---------------------------------
The message "Add Prompts for users when they run this analysis" is displayed, and then there are no further responses/ the screen hangs/freezes

Steps
------------

The Answers > Edit Analysis > Prompt tab is selected
The user clicks on Prompt tab.  Sometimes it will let you go as far as the green ‘add prompt’ icon.  More often than not it will freeze before reaching this stage

The message "Add Prompts for users when they run this analysis" is displayed, also various icons in the tool pallet are displayed


Other info:

1.Clearing the browser cache, exiting IE and then restarting didn’t make any difference – OTBI still crashed on that same screen
2.It  was working just fine on Friday last week.  This issue has only arisen ver the course of the past weekend when the upgrade was put in place
3.IE 8:  We are locked down to just IE, so can’t use Chrome, or Firefox
4.The example being used is a new report created this week in R8 – it has no prompts in it.  Pre-existing reports with prompts in (migrated from R7) have the same problem
