How to use ICParticipantDetailsImportTemplate.xlsm to update the Participant Details. (Doc ID 2014261.1)

Goal

PREREQUISITE

1.   User manually create the employee
     Navigator > Manage User

     OR

     Import Employee Resource records into Oracle Fusion Application using CRM File Import utility.
     Navigator > Setup and Maintenance > Task: Manage File Import Activity  > Object = Employee Resource

2.  Run Import Participants to create participants record for Oracle Fusion Incentive Compensation module
     Navigator >  Participant Assignments > Import Participants

3.  Enable descriptive flexfield segments for Participant Details (see Doc Id 2060886.1 )
     Navigator  > Setup and Maintenance > Task: Manage Incentive Compensation Descriptive Flexfields  (Flexfield Code = CN_PARTICIPANT_DETAIL_DFF

Note:  There are two descriptive flexfields :  Participants (CN_PARTICIPANTS_DFF) and Participant Details (CN_PARTICIPANT_DETAIL_DFF).
         The participant header columns are like Participant Character Attribute 1.
         The participant detail columns are like Detail Character Attribute 1.

     a. Create your segment
     b. Deploy the flexfield

 

GOAL

The Participants can have details such as Analyst, Currency Code, Cost Center, and descriptive flexfield attributes (eg. ATTRIBUTE_CHAR1, ATTRIBUTE_NUMBER1 etc).

The document will show how to use the ICParticipantDetailsImportTemplate.xlsm excel template  ( Doc ID 2785163.1 )  to generate a csv data file and corresponding zipped data file for the Import and Update Participant Details process.
