Fusion Applications OTBI : Expected Close Date timestamp formatting is not consistent between BI Answers and the Fusion Application dashboards

When an analysis is added to the Fusion Application the date/time formatting applied to the Expected Close Date field is not being applied and the time component is showing in the resultset

The Expected Close Date should only show a date component in the resultset, it should have no time component displayed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. create a new analysis against Sales - CRM Pipeline
2. select the Revenue.Expected Close Date
3. modify the format on the column to use the '[FMT:Date]' format mask

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot accurately interpret the results being returned from the Sales Stage Wise Date analysis.
