The ShipmentLineService Is Invoked Successfully But The Shipment Lines/Details Are Not Updated (Doc ID 2062072.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to update the shipped_quantity and tracking_number attributes on the shipment line using the ShipmentLineService.UpdateShipmentLines, the service invocation succeeds but the response message is empty.
Also the data in the Manage Shipment Lines UI is not updated.

Payload submitted:


The shipment line has a status of 'Staged' and is assigned to a shipment with status 'Open'.
In the Manage Shipment Lines UI there are several fields which can be updated via the UI, like shipped qty, tracking number, gross weight etc.
However, the web service call does not update the same fields.
