Last updated on MAY 18, 2023

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Frequency of deductions processed within the payroll run calculation being deducted based on date earned. In a month with 3 pay periods for a bi-weekly payroll, the third check should not have a deduction processed.

Certain elements to be taken based on the check date vs. the effective or earn date (these are only options available in the elements frequency functionality). For example, if there are 3 dates in the same month, then on the 3rd check date, the deduction should be skipped and/or not taken. Tested the frequency rules functionality by creating 2 elements, one based on the effective date and the second based on the earned date. Once the elements were created, a QuickPay was processed with a 3rd check date pay period. Testing proved the element didn't skip the pay period as excepted.
