Adding New Descriptive Flexfield Segment Error Unable to retrieve content. Additional information for "Remote Region error #9" (Doc ID 2088119.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to create a new descriptive flexfield segment for Base Transaction, the following error occurs.

ERROR
Unable to retrieve content. Additional information for "Remote Region error #10" :
An error occurred while invoking task Manage Descriptive Flexfields for Custom Qualifiers. Review the FunctionalSetupServer logs for more details on this error.

OR

Unable to retrieve content. Additional information for "Remote Region error #8" :
An error occurred while invoking task Manage Descriptive Flexfields for Custom Qualifiers. Review the FunctionalSetupServer logs for more details on this error.

OR

Unable to retrieve content. Additional information for "Remote Region error #9" :
An error occurred while invoking task Manage Incentive Compensation Descriptive Flexfields. Review the FunctionalSetupServer logs for more details on this error. Contact your help desk.

OR

There is no error but the Segment is not saved.  View log will display errors as below

 

 

View the log shows:

JBO-27010: Attribute set with value 1,000 for SequenceNumber in DescriptiveFlexfieldGlobalSegmentEO has invalid precision/scale

OR

JBO-27041: Value 1,000 for field SequenceNumber exceeds the number of decimal places allowed.


STEPS
1. Navigator > Setup and Maintenance > Task: Manage Descriptive Flexfields for Custom Qualifiers
    Flexfield Code = CN_TP_BASETRANS_DFF
2. Create new segment for any attribute. Click on [Save and Close] and get error message.
