Symptoms

Orders Created using the order creation Web service fail.

This note describes three similar errors that may be reported:

The creation of an orchestration order failed due to a system error.prepareForOrchestration failed with error ERROR

 

The creation of an orchestration order failed due to a system error.prepareForOrchestration failed with error The transaction could not be processed due to an unconditional constraint on operation UPDATE on attribute OrderedDate of entity Order Header.

 

The creation of an orchestration order failed due to a system error.prepareForOrchestration failed with error DOO-Changes to orders that use orchestration process DOO_BillOnlyGenericProcess are not allowed


In these instances the order payload for four different orders included:


NOTE:
1. The SourceTransactionNumber and SourceTransactionIdentifier are NOT the same
2. For the orders the same SourceTransactionIdentifier has been used
3. For Order ABC0027, the TransactionOn (i.e. Ordered Date has changed)
4. For Order ABC0019, an Orchestration Process is assigned that does NOT allow changes
