Missing Purchase Order Attachments after process "Update Preparer and Requester"

Missing Purchase Order Attachments
An employee and user left the company and all his work was re-assigned to another user by using the process "Update Preparer and Requester".
From initial review, it appears that all attachments are missing from all Purchase Orders (PO) for which the original user was the requester.

All purchase orders are being created with an attachment.
Other users can check purchase order details, download the attachments and check the order history.
All the purchase orders that are missing the attachments were requested by the deleted employee user.
Since the user was deleted, all the attachments from purchase orders are now missing.
Due to this issue, important data related to Purchasing documents is missing
Steps To Reproduce
1. User leaves company and all work re-assigned to another user by using the process "Update Preparer and Requester".
e.g.: Procurement > Purchase Requisitions > Select Task : Update Preparer and Requester
2. Observe that all attachments are missing from all purchase orders for which deleted employee user was the requester.
