Custom field does not appear in Opportunity pages in SUI

Project Number Custom Field does not appear in Opportunity pages

I created a Project Number custom field (numeric) under the Opportunity Standard Object. However, when I follow the setup steps to get my Project Number custom field to appear in the Opportunity pages, I am not seeing it displayed anywhere. I don't think it's a configuration issue anymore, that's why I'd like some support on this.


Project number custom field should appear in opportunity pages.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Oracle Sales Cloud.
2. Navigate to Application Composer > Sales > Opportunity > Pages
3. Under pages, click desktop pages tab.
4. Add the custom field in all layouts.
5. Save and close the configuration.
6. Navigate to Home> Sales > Opportunity
7. Create a new opportunity and the newly created custom field is not visible.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot view the newly added custom field on the Opportunity UI.
