Symptoms

When creating a Revaluation batch, the following error occurs in the log files and no assets are shown in the batch:
 

ERROR
-----------------------
The value type Price Index is invalid because you are not revaluing the accumulated depreciation, year-to-date depreciation, or both.
The Revaluation transaction ##### failed for asset number #####.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Fixed Assets > Assets > Select Asset Book > Revalue Assets
2. Click plus icon to create batch
3. Select Asset Book and click Next
4. Enter Parameters:
  Method = Cost
  Value Type = Price index
  Select Include current period depreciation
5. Click Submit
6. Process ends in error with the message above
