Can not make use to search box on bell notification

We have bell notification feature where notifications can be seen and actions can be taken. If we have high frequency of approval transactions, the bell notification will the the latest one on the top. In order to take actions on old transaction we are trying to make use of search box provided on bell notification. However we are not able to search pending transactions. If we open BPM worklist we are able to see those transactions as pending but are unable to locate it through search box.

Bell notification list is limited and there is no option to see more than the items displayed. Bell notifications will be automatically purged after 30 days when any user performs a search in the pop-up. But if the user has 100 notifications in the last 30 days, there is no option to find them all via search in Bell.
