Symptoms
Requirement is for the negotiation owner to specify the approval user.
To that end, define 2 Descriptive Flexfield (DFF) segments .
- First is Y/N, which means this negotiation award should be approved or not.
- Second is the approver, which will store userid.
However after define the rule with approver :AwardApprovalHeader.Attribute_number1 application presents error.

X RUL-05717: The identifier AwardApprovalHeader.Attribute_number1 is not valid here.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Define DFF.
2. Add Value Set.
3. Go to BPM or Manage Approvals UI in Setup and Maintenance and define the rule.
4. Enter user field as : AwardApprovalHeader.Attribute_number1
5. On commit, encounter the reported errors.
