Fusion Payroll: PAY-1635723 Error When Updating a New Segment Created for the Element Information EFF (Doc ID 2230152.1)

Symptoms

User created a new segment in the Element EFF to store information for auditing purposes.
User can now see the segment, but when trying to add information to the segment, receive the error.

ERROR

The information type is missing or invalid. (PAY-1635723)
Extra information types must be defined as descriptive flexfields before they can be used.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Navigation:
1 – Login as a user with HR Admin privileges
2 – Welcome Page > Payroll > Payroll Calculations – Select Manage Elements
3 – Click Edit > Update or Correct (same behavior in either case)
4 – Navigate to Element Information EFF section and enter value in new field.
5 – Click Save. Receive the error
