As per the absence configuration guide the field ‘Alternative Schedule Category’ should be the override for any SSP Pattern. However, when adding a pattern here it does not override the work pattern assigned to the employee.
This has been tested using ‘Calendar Days’ and ‘Days’ UOM. On both occasions the waiting days and paid days are using the employee work pattern rather than the override on the plan.
We need the override on the plan to work, otherwise SSP paid is incorrect. We require a calendar work day SSP qualifying pattern for employees, but they will not have a calendar day work pattern assigned to them (it would impact how time and labour works). As described in the guide the override field used in here should be the one SSP is based on.
Also, could you please clarify:
Why is there the ability to add a qualifying pattern to the Plan if we need to add it to the employees work pattern anyway?
