Moving employee from LE A to LE B and keeping the same Termination date (Doc ID 2281378.1)

Goal

On : 11.1.11.1.0 version, Global Human Resources

We have a business scenario. We are operating in US and are having many employees getting severance or pension pays. There are several cases where employees are terminated back in past. Now the Legal Entity (i.e. LE A) in which they used to work are not active any more and employee profiles are required to be moved to LE B.
We need to move such employee records from LE A to LE B without hiring/re-hiring them.
Note: To reproduce the same we tried to change LE using Global Transfer, however Global Transfer is not available if we do Management Employment > Update
The only way is to re-hire an employee. If we re-hire the default status will become active for that employee and system will not retain termination date.

a. Tried to update the Terminated persons record, by adding backdated Global Transfer.
=> In this case employee's termination will show in LE B which is not correct. Employee's termination still needs to be shown in LE A
b. Tried do a reverse termination, then you do a global transfer and then a termination back with the same date it is now.
=> if I reverse terminate and do Global Transfer it will create a new assignment and terminate old assignment by default. The new assignment will be active by default as Global transfer and old assignment will become inactive.

Is there any other way to achieve this requirement?
