Symptoms

On : 11.12.1.0.0 version, Global Human Resources

When attempting to assign a contextual value set to a DFF, the following error occurs:

ERROR
-----------------------
The value set XYZ cannot be assigned to this context segment. (FND-2607)
In application 800 and descriptive flexfield PER_CONTACT_RELSHIPS_DFF, value set XYZ cannot be assigned to the context segment. The assigned value set must have data type of Character and its maximum length must be no longer than the context column length.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Define value set.
2. Attempt to use in PER_CONTACT_RELSHIPS_DFF
Error occurs
