Goal

Oracle Fusion Sourcing

Need to allow users to search and populate Category field based on any portion of United Nations Standard Products and Services Code® (UNSPSC®/UNSPSC code) to minimize the number of category rows returned.

Example of Category (non-catalog)
  Nesting Example for code: 44121904
  Segment = 44 (Office Equipment and Accessories and Supplies)
  Family = 12 (Office Supplies)
  Class = 19 (Ink and lead refills)
  Commodity = 04 (Ink refills)

Category name: 44121904
Description: Pen Ink Refills
The negotiations and contracts will have lines with categories, not product numbers.
If a user enters Category 44% , the system should return any active category code beginning with 44.

Currently,
Oracle Fusion Sourcing uses Manage Functional Area Catalogs > Purchasing Catalog.
In Purchasing Catalog, Hierarchy cannot be enabled. All categories are under the Root category.
Users cannot see the taxonomy in the Cloud.
