Symptoms

On : 11.12.1.0.0 version, Purchase Orders

Not able to Edit Approved PO - Buyer Custom role has been assigned to the User

Requirement - Purchase Order must not be created Manually, PO should be created only if there is approved Requisition.

For this requirement below is the setup made:

1. Created a new Buyer Custom role by copying the Buyer Standard Role.
2. Removed Purchase Order Authoring custom role. This role has 3 privileges
• Create Purchase Order
• Create Purchase Order from Requisitions
• Create Purchase Order from Catalogs
3. Once deleted the Purchase Order Authoring custom role, all the 3 Privileges were removed from the custom role
4. Added the below 2 privileges by editing the Custom role.
• Create Purchase Order from Requisitions
• Create Purchase Order from Catalogs
5. Now I am not able to create the Purchase Order Manually, which is the client requirement.

The problem is when the PO has been approved, I am not able to edit the PO.
