Information in this document applies to any platform.

The requirement is to fetch Employee's children in an Input Value of an Element.

The table query is not bringing the value in LOV on Manage Element Entries screen of the Employee;

The steps to achieve this which we used are the following;

1. Create a Value Set ("TEST_VS")
  a. Module: Global Payroll
  b. Validation Type: Table
  c. Value Data Type: Character
  e. Value Column Name: LAST_NAME
  f. WHERE Clause: PERSON_ID = xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

2. Create a Non-Recurring Element ("TEST_Element")
  a. Primary Classification: Standard Earnings
  b. Category: Standard
  c. Retroactive Event Group: Entry Changes for Retro
  d. Create an Input value ("Testing LOV")
  i. Unit of Measure: Character
  ii. Checked Displayed, Allow User Entry, Required, Create a Database Item
  iii. Value Set: TEST_VS

3. Person Management > Search one Employee > Manage Element Entries
4. Assign Element to the employee
  i. Change Effective Date
  ii. Search "TEST_Element" element
 iii. Click on "Testing_LOV" LOV and find it empty, even after searching found nothing.

Kindly help to complete this requirement as I am unable to find the reason for not showing the VS value in the dropdown.
