Information in this document applies to any platform.

For Plan Document Approval configuration, the system parameter's  [ Analyst Approval Hierarchy level ] = 1 .

The workflow would go to the analyst's manager.

1. Rep1 ( Mary) is assigned to Analyst1 ( Jim )
2. Analyst Hierarchy :
         >> Analyst Manager1 (Mike)
               >> Analyst Level 1 ( Jim )
3. Submit plan document for Mary, the workflow routes to Mike instead of Jim.
... This is the current functionality in R11 and R12.

User wants the workflow to route to Jim ( the immediate analyst) so have setup the hierarchy to be like the following :
        >> Analyst Manager1 (Mike)
             >> Analyst Level 1 ( Jim )
                    >> Compensation Manager Level 2 ( Jim )
When the workflow is submitted, it finds Analyst1 which also is Jim.

This was working in R11 and R12 till user needs to extend the end-date on the Analyst Hierarchy.

When adding the child node (eg. Compensation Manager Level 2 ) with the same analyst (ie. Jim) who already exists on the parent node (eg Analyst Level 1 ),
user get a validation error message and is not able to save the hierarchy.

You cannot save the analyst hierarchy because the incentive compensation administrator Jim is assigned to more than one node. (CN-1575569)
Cause An administrator can only be assigned to one node at any given time.
Action Search and select the nodes using the administrator name search criteria. Determine which node is the correct assignment and then remove the administrator from the other nodes.
