We are creating projects in Project Execution Management and we don't want to schedule all tasks manually. We know that we can use the 'Schedule Task Dates based on Dependencies and Constraints' option to automatically assign start and end dates to the tasks. But when we create a project from a Work plan template and then click on the 'Schedule Task Dates based on Dependencies and Constraints' option the system is not calculating the dates. If we manually update 'Manage Task Details' for the first lower task of the project and then click on the 'Schedule Task Dates based on Dependencies and Constraints' option then yes, the system calculates the dates.
Is this an intended functionality? Is there any documentation on how this process works?
