Information in this document applies to any platform.

Add EL Expression to a DFF Field to restrict it based on Role and published the sandbox. The field was behaving as expected. On a subsequent personalization done on the same page, the EL Expression was replaced with the value returned by the expression (true or false) and applied across all roles. Below are the steps followed:

• EL Expression was added to the DFF fields on the Termination page and Review page based on the Roles and the sandbox was thoroughly tested and published. Everything was working fine as expected
• Another Sandbox was created to add a hover tip for one of the fields on the Termination page and was published
• When the above sandbox was published, it picked all existing personalizations on the termination page. This sandbox was published using a user with Role for which the DFF fields EL Expressions returns a value of true. Please find attached the sandbox download xml which shows the EL Expression in the first sandbox and value for the DFF fields as true in the next sandbox.
• When we create a sandbox, include EL Expression, test for employees for whom the EL expression returns different values (true for one employee and false for another), the EL Expression is being replaced by the actual value being returned by it.
