Reference Catalog Category Not Available To Be Assigned To The Item

Symptoms
A Category was created in the Inventory Functional Area Catalog and assigned the Category to Purchasing Functional Area Catalog using the Reference function.
Likewise, another Category was created in the Purchasing Functional Area Catalog and assigned the category to the Inventory Functional Area Catalog using the Reference function.
While creating an item, in the Categories tab it is possible to select the category that is defined in the Inventory Catalog but not in the Purchasing Catalog.
