Purpose
Following is purpose of this document:
- How to mask taxpayer ID on Supplier
- Explain data masking vs data obfuscation
- Impact of masking after data obfuscation.
Scope
The data masking feature discussed is limited to supplier level for
taxpayer ID. Taxpayer ID is one of the Personally Identifiable
Information (PII) on the supplier. The setups may differ but conceptually
the discussions will apply in similar manner to the taxpayer ID. It is
recommended for audience having prior knowledge to set up suppliers and
taxpayer ID in supplier model.
Note: Currently Tax payer is not masked in Payables UI.
