Symptoms

Change Order numbers are skipped if after a change order the process update Preparer or Requester is executed.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Process a purchase order as follows:
1. Buyer enters order , purchase order 1, order is approved
2. Requester changes the line, change order 1 is created , change order is approved/change is implemented
3. Requester changes the line, change order 2 is created , change order is approved/change is implemented
4. Process Update Preparer or Requester is executed by the requester, change order 21 is created.

Document History for the purchase order shows

change order 2
change order 21
Change orders 3 to 20 are skipped.
