Symptoms

In Release 20B, we have identified a regression issue, where users will not be able to edit multiple forecast cells at a time.

When attempting to enter multiple forecast edits in Planning Table, a UI timeout error may be observed.

Error symptom 1:

Connection to the server failed (Status=504)

In certain cases, the UI may crash and display below message.

Error symptom 2:

The Oracle Cloud environment is currently unavailable. Our team is actively working to resolve this unplanned downtime and to restore your service(s) as quickly as possible.

Entering multiple forecast edits can cause Out of Memory condition on server when not saving intermittently and users will be unable to continue session.

Business Impact:

Due to this issue, planning users will not be able to use bulk copy/paste action for bulk entry of forecast, impacting business cycle for entry of forecast adjustments.

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Open Demand Plan.
  2. Open a Forecast Table.
  3. Try to Edit 6 or more Cells in the Forecast Table
  4. Receive error.
