The behavior we are currently seeing: First period's charge of Original Subscription * Renewal Adjustment = First period's Charge on the renewed subscription
The behavior we would expect: Last period's charge of Original Subscription instead of first periods charge * Renewal Adjustment = First period's Charge on the renewed subscription
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Create a multi-year term subscription with renewal markup, pricing terms enabled, and generate a billing schedule for the full period enabled.
- Run ESS job to automatically renew eligible subscriptions
- You will see in the billing summary of the renewed subscription that the first charge is based on the first charge of the original subscription * renewal markup.
However, expect the first charge of the renewed subscription to be based on the last charge of the original subscription * renewal markup.
