Quick Search for Quality Record number does not return any records

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
When using the search for the quality record number (upper right corner), no records are found.
In left hand pane, if filters expanded, the record number has been populated automatically in the Name field.
User must copy/paste or re-enter the information into the number field in order to search by number.
