SCM: PLN: Order Modifier Is Not Considered When Shrinkage Rate Is Defined (Doc ID 2785922.1)

Last updated on JUNE 21, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Supply Planning Cloud Service - Version 11.13.21.04.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

User defined shrinkage rate defined for an item as below. But when planned order is suggested by considering the order modifier defined, shrinkage is calculated for order modifier qty.

Examples:

Issue1.

Item A
Min qty 5500
Shrinkage rate: .053

Based on demand planned order is suggested on Particular date with 5500 Qty along with we could see Expected scrap value as 307.8 and remaining qty as 5807.8

Hence when user select the order for release, implement qty shows the value of 5807.8 (sum of original qty & expected scrap). But user cannot release this qty as user has process constraint, where he can release qty in multiple of 1100 only.

As per their existing system ASCP the planned order qty is calculated along with scrap qty (5500) instead of 5807.8, But here in supply planning is not showing as expected.

Issue2:

Calculation of expected scrap.

=5500/(100-.053) = 291.2 As per user guide

But cloud expected scrap shows as 307.8 (how does value been calculated)

How to solve these issues?
