21B Release: Installed Base Integration may Create a Duplicate Asset
(Doc ID 2797027.1)
Last updated on MAY 06, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle Maintenance Cloud Service - Version 11.13.21.04.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Installed Base integration may create a Duplicate Asset.
This is observed for customers who have implemented any functionality based on Customer Asset events. This may result in Duplicate Customer Asset events being raised.
For example: When an Order with a Coverage line (non-asset tracked) is processed using a Ship Set along with a Covered product in Order Orchestration and is passed to Installed Base, this may result in Asset Integration to trigger multiple events resulting in a Duplicate Asset.
Issue impacts customers who took Release 21B 02-Jul CWB or later.
Steps to reproduce:
The issue may be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) Create a Sales Order with an Asset and a Coverage Line (non-asset tracked item).
2) Add the line to a Ship Set.
3) Ship the Order.
4) Notice that duplicate assets are created in Installed Base.
