How to add child of Asset in Covered Level in Manual Contract Creation

When Included warranty is created, it automatically adds the child asset and serial numbers in hierarchy shown in covered level. But when we manually create warranty or contract, we can not see that hierarchy in covered level when asset is added in covered level. How can we add the child asset or serial numbers in covered level in contract
