PRC: PO: Purchase Order Context Segment Values Disappeared After Saving - New Descriptive Flexfield Creation Returns Error ORA-00001 (Doc ID 2955800.1)

Symptoms

 

Purchase Order Distribution Descriptive Flexfield (DFF)

Context Segment was defined earlier - for example ATTRIBUTE1,  setup was saved without returning an error, but when you inquire on context segment, segments/values for ATTRIBUTE1 are no longer displayed.
When you attempt to create a new segment - ATTRIBUTE2,  save it, the system returns an error:




ERROR
-----------------------
ORA-00001: Unique Constraint (FUSION.FND_DF_SEGMENTS_B_U3) Violated.
 




STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to Manage Purchasing Descriptive Flexfield
2. Attempt to review DFF Setup for Distributions, Context Segment ATTRIBUTE1 setup
> Segment is no longer available
3. Attempt to create a new segment, ATTRIBUTE2, the system returns an error:
ORA-00001: Unique Constraint (FUSION.FND_DF_SEGMENTS_B_U3) Violated
