FA: SCM: RP: Planned Replenishment Order Is Created For The Superseded Item
(Doc ID 2977450.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 28, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Demand Management Cloud Service - Version 11.13.23.04.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
use case is like
Item: A is the new item
Item B is the old item
Item: A is the new active part meaning it is forecasted in DM and all new demand is coming on this item
Item: B is the old part which means it is no longer forecasted.
However, this item might still have stock on hand which user would like to use and deplete before supplying the new item
Have a supersession relationship between the 2 items:
From Item: A
To Item: B
Item B is set up with create supply = No to avoid any new supply
Yet the system creates a new planned order for the item and for no apparent reason
Expectation is that nothing will happen with this item and for sure user do not expect to replenish this item since it is superseded
