Oracle VM 2.2: pypxeboot Uses Absolute Pathname When Retrieving Files (Doc ID 1130423.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 20, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle VM - Version 2.2 and later
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later
Linux x86
Linux x86-64

If no path is provided by the DHCP server, on Oracle VM server, pypxeboot tries to download files using an absolute path name. This behavior works for TFTP server on Linux. But it is not compatible with other platform like AIX, which expects relative file name when retrieving files.
