Private Cloud Appliance - Version 2.1.1 to 2.1.1 [Release 2.0]
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
- Server Pool enabled for High Availability (HA).
- Virtual Server, 'VS' enabled for High Availability (HA).
- Preferred Server Policy set to 'OVM Server X'.
- Virtual Server VS is running on OVM Server X.
If OVM Server X goes down, Virtual Server VS will not Live Migrate to another available OVM Server with sufficient available resources due to the Preferred Server setting for Virtual Server VS.
To help ensure a virtual server is Live Migrated when the physical host it is running on goes down, configure the virtual server to use the 'Auto' Placement Policy or select multiple Preferred Servers.
