Cannot Find All Physical Volumes For LVM Volume Group After System Reboot (Doc ID 1255324.1)

Symptoms

After system reboot, some physical volumes for the volume group.  Tools such as pvdisplay, lvdisplay, or vgdisplay error out for this volume group.

The LUN's are presented to the system and are visible.

# /usr/sbin/vgdisplay -vv
<snip>
/dev/emcpowern1: No label detected
Couldn't find device with uuid 'cBFTLf-K2rW-6wrb-LEGK-UALD-ut21-YGlb7c'.
Couldn't find all physical volumes for volume group SAN-HSDB51D-3.
Volume group "SAN-HSDB51D-3" not found
Unlocking /var/lock/lvm/V_SAN-HSDB51D-3

Changes

This can occur after any system reboot.
