How To Populate Local Yum Repository Manually on Oracle Linux and Oracle VM (Doc ID 1268639.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

You may need to have the RPM package set frozen on local YUM repository to apply a standardized set of packages to all servers being patched. But the script to populate the repository will download the latest packages from ULN automatically which can not meed your need. This note provides a workaround on how to manually refresh the repository without re-enabling the download job from ULN.
