Last updated on AUGUST 04, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle VM - Version: 2.2.1 and later   [Release: OVM221 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a standalone / fresh Oracle VM 2.2.1 is installed (and optionally updated to the latest level) the system reboots after some minutes of bootup.

The hardware is Cisco UCS B200 M2 (with 192GB RAM).

Also, there are no diagnostic information in messages or the system / KVM console and also configuring kdump does not generate a vmcore even with manual SysRq-c (See <Document 1130030.1> for more information).

Changes
